Potted Water Oak Seedlings

I found these sprouting up in my backyard. Apparently, a squirrel had buried some acorns and now they are potential bonsai. The leaves on water oak get pretty big. I’m not sure if they will make good bonsai, but I’ll give it a go and see what happens.

I potted them in 1-gallon nursery pots with Foxfarm Ocean Forrest potting soil.
